RESTAURANT LE DAMIER sur Pianottoli-Caldarello

The location is very beautiful but the managers need to pay more attention to the cleaning of the bathrooms, curtains and bar area

The first person who greeted us at reception told us there were plenty of pitches. The campsite is all uphill, the internal roads are at the limit of practicability, it is almost impossible to understand what is considered a pitch and what is not, between questionable spaces, closed caravans that take up spaces and cars parked here and there. After 10 minutes of searching we return to the reception and this time the lady tells us that there are only a couple of seats left next to the restaurant and not shaded. A big waste of time. The lady at the reception was very polite and kind, she spoke perfect English. For prices they don't distinguish between campers, vans and voiture aménagé, saying that "it's all the same". Personally I find it inconceivable, both from a point of view of size and consumption. Among other things, if this distinction does not exist, the pitches should all be the same, when instead to reach half the spaces you need a 4x4.

Belle découverte par hasard après la rando Sentier des Bruzzi et criques de rêve. Très bon accueil. Le tartare de thon est excellent, les raviolis sont également délicieux. Le cadre est très agréable et l’accès à la piscine est possible pour les client du restaurant. À conseiller donc.

My opinion concerns a stay in a bungalow. The bungalow was clean, well equipped and air conditioned. We had a very good stay in this campsite which benefits from an ideal location for exploring Corsica which is still wild. The campsite is family-friendly, quiet and with little entertainment, but that’s exactly what we wanted. Additional positive point, the swimming pool with deckchairs and parasols. A lovely simplicity reigns here, it’s really pleasant.

We have been attending Le Damier for 12 years. Pitch or mobile home, it’s always perfect! Constantly evolving while maintaining simplicity and family spirit. Beautiful place for lovers of nature and authenticity. Good rating for the restaurant, qualitative and plentiful, thank you Pierre. We stayed for a week at Le Damier campsite..... And what a pleasure!! Everything went perfectly from start to finish. The campsite is ideally located with a beach accessible within 10 minutes on foot. All around, the change of scenery is total, the conviviality is there and nature is omnipresent (A great man told me: If you sleep in nature, expect to encounter nature...!). Le Damier is a fireworks display of Corsican folklore including a delicious Myrtle, made by the boss. It's the right place to disconnect and spend authentic moments. Sincere thanks to the entire team for their welcome, their generosity and their humor. We will come back with pleasure.

Nous venons de passer une semaine entre copine et le restaurant a été notre étape de chaque soirée. La serveuse est adorable,joyeuse et très professionnelle.Le cuisinier et le pizzaiolo sont hors pair. Cuisine très fine et servie avec de très bons ingrédients locaux. Pierre le patron et ses amis sont généreux et très ouverts tout comme l'alcool de Myrte généreusement offerte pour clôre nos soirées. Un grand merci à cette belle équipe. Belle saison à vous.
