Restaurant in a lovely, peaceful setting. Friendly welcome and efficient service. A small menu of simple but hearty and tasty dishes. Pizzas, grilled meats, salads, desserts. A very pleasant time after a nice walk; we will be back.

After a very strenuous hike, a unique family experience in the Sainte-Victoire mountain, we called several times to let them know we would be late, and received a very warm welcome despite the delay. Service was available after 3 pm on a Sunday in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The food was excellent! I highly recommend this place! A very pleasant first experience at this establishment.

The restaurant is pleasant, the dishes are simple but tasty and generous, and the service is quick. One drawback, however: we would have preferred a quieter dining experience, without the shouting of the waiters and the TV being moved around (forcing us to get up from our chairs), or the very noisy setup of tables and chairs for the next day's service. It's a shame, as it must be lovely on the terrace in the summer, but I don't think we'll be back.

A truly French establishment The staff is friendly, the owner's welcome is fantastic, and the food is excellent. And that rib steak... a real treat! All in all, a great place!

10/03/2026: Located in the heart of the charming village of Vauvenargues, on a pedestrian street. If you're lucky enough to have good weather, eat outside. The welcome is very simple, cordial, and friendly. It's one of the best and most generous couscous dishes we've had in a long time. Lamb, chicken, and meatballs, broth with plenty of vegetables, excellent semolina, all served piping hot. Wine is served by the glass upon request. Impeccable service despite a last-minute staffing issue. Compliments to our waitress. The prices are quite reasonable. We will be back soon with friends. I highly recommend it.

Restaurant Ecuries de l'Aube

05/02/2024: Le Kabanon is a restaurant which is part of the Écuries de l'Aube complex situated in the countryside of Saint-Marc-Jaumegarde approximately 5 km west of Aix-en_Provence. The restaurant is tucked away in one corner of the road leading up to it. The parking lot is far away from the restaurant and one must be carefull when walking to it in the dark. Their menu is varied and offers local cuisine. It is worth the visit if you're in the area.
12/12/2023: Très beau cadre, au calme. Parfait pour l’été avec l’extérieur et les deux piscines. En revanche, le personnel pourrait être plus sympathique, personne ne les a forcé à travailler ici. C’est dommage, cela enlève beaucoup de charme à l’endroit. Certains plats étaient plutôt bons, d’autres pas terribles … endroit prometteur qui mériterait un peu plus d’attention.
