Restaurant Le Jeune Bois, France sur Beauvois-En-Cambresis

Excellente découverte. Nous y allons assez régulièrement et nous ne sommes jamais déçus. Il y a pour tout les goûts. Excellente accueil. Rapport qualités prix incroyable

A delightful amid slight desperation -- we'd driven from Brussels in noxious traffic and hail and were famished, found the Ferme for our stay, and realized that Tuesday nights in rural France are not replete with dinner opportunities. And then we found Le Jeune Bois, made a quick reservation, and all was well. After the rather heavy fare of Belgium & the Low Country, the food was pleasant, tasty, and -- if not innovative -- entirely acceptable, and the wine was still more so. The frites could have been crisper in the re-frying. Much enjoyed the experience, as the restaurant quickly filled. And it is a pleasant spot; clean and new-ish, with a patio perfect for summer eating (we were there in rain showers and spring darkness). No regrets!
