This review is for the restaurant only.
The welcome was warm, the menus were interesting and varied, the food was good, the portions were generous (perhaps too much so?), and the portions were well-presented. Good value for money. We would have liked to see a simple dish like steak-frites-salad or spaghetti carbonara on the menu. The children's portions are too large. Reservations are recommended, and there is easy free parking in the square.

The restaurant is very good; we had the €30 meal.
Excellent, the homemade foie gras was sublime (we bought a jar as it was for sale).
A very generous charcuterie platter.
The beef was very tender.
The service was very good.

Our entire team received a very warm welcome from the family at the Lion d'Or. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the cuisine is high-quality, fresh, and seasonal. I highly recommend this establishment, ideally located for exploring the Aubrac plateau.
