Restaurant Le Saint-James Relais & Chateaux sur Paris

Beautiful Hotel! Beautiful interior and garden. The rooms are spacious and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The concierge service is amazing! F&B is fantastic. One of our best hotel experiences so far!

Je n'étais pas revenu au Saint James depuis l'époque de Jean-Marie Amat, dont j'avais gardé des souvenirs très émus (des saveurs inédites, le service toujours parfait et extrêmement discret, des repas parfaitement calibrés dans la progression des mets, les quantités, des conseils de plats et de vins parfaits en fonction des budgets, etc.). Bref, un des meilleurs restaurants de Bordeaux à mon sens : Moyennant un budget certain, l'assurance de passer un moment exactement parfait ! Le cadre est toujours soigné - la vue sur Bordeaux depuis le jardin et la terrasse et le bâtiment - et l'accueil est de qualité. Mais, comment dire ? Nous n'étions plus dans la perfection. (Par exemple, en entrant en tout début de service nous avons cherché l'entrée et avons dû demander notre chemin à une école de cuisine - seule porte ouverte... Pendant le repas, on se retourne et attend le bras en l'air qu'on nous remarque pour avoir du pain... Je ne suis pas bégueule et peux apprécier manger un bon couscous à Saint Michel sur une nappe en plastique, mais à partir d'un certain niveau d'addition, je suis exigeant...) Nous avons donc apprécié une cuisine et une cave fines et de qualité, mais je trouve que le rapport qualité/prix est devenu trop faible : le prix de la prestation m'a paru surdimensionné (à plus de 300 euros par tête pour se faire plaisir, j'ai de grosses exigences, et gustatives et en terme de service, qui n'ont pas été satisfaites...).

Excellent hotel. Stunning grounds. Even though you're in the city of Paris, it's still quiet and tranquil. Interior design and attention to detail is unmatched. Service is 5 star no doubt.

What an absolutely lovely hotel to stay at. When you walk through the gates you leave the hustle and bustle of Paris behind you. The service is fantastic from all the staff and the rooms are very well appointed. We will stay there again for sure.

Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, this beautiful estate was home for 5 nights. Far from most attractions, we taxied or Ubered most days to our destinations. The bed, which was queen size, was very comfortable/cozy, luxurious linens and we slept every night with our windows open, which we realized, was still possible on the first floor. Because my husband is a large man, we made sure that the shower was a walk in, not part of the tub, which can be too tight. You may want to check with the hotel if this may be an issue and request a separate shower on the bathroom. The service was amazing, staff and concierge were very helpful and friendly as were the restaurant staff. The hotel was renovated 18 months prior to our visit and still looked fresh and bright with no sign of wear. Now that we have discovered this hotel through the Relais and Chateau site, it will be our go to hotel in Paris.

Before we stepped onto the property we knew we'd made the right choice regarding where to stay in Paris -- the concierge team was wonderful to work with planning for our arrival, our excursions during our stay, our dinners, etc. The property is absolutely lovely. The staff was top-notch all around, from the reception desk, to the concierge team, to the dining room staff. We were overall delighted with our experience.

We stayed here on a visit to the French Open, and it is truly one of very nicest hotels I have ever visited. I can't wait to return!
