Very beautiful place, to do however out of season, otherwise it must be hell on this little piece of land, I am not eaten there, but simply the view and especially the tranquility right next to the pier is magical, I advise you to go there during the week during the period of May, June and early September, you will be relaxed, otherwise the interior of the restaurant is sumptuous, it's really old-fashioned, especially when you see the exposed beams , and the old stone floor, the terrace is just as beautiful with the marsh right next to it and the main entrance to the abbey, a must do... Have a good walk...
A perfect and magical place on the edge of the marshes and next to Maillezais Abbey.
The Échauguette restaurant is truly a quiet place to relax while eating simple dishes with a touch of originality. We had the roasted camemberts with red fruit confit.
The service is also very friendly.
The best thing is to eat on the terrace when the weather is nice.
Good restaurant to do after visiting the abbey or a walk in the marsh. I eat well there, there are Vendée specialties and other simple but good dishes. Without pretensions. Pleasant and available staff. And an idyllic setting.
Ideal after a hot day. Freshness of the Poitevin marsh. Very fine dishes, hearty and perfectly cooked. Thank you chefs. Quality and caring service. 21 of 20👍👌💕
