Restaurant l'Eterlou sur Villarodin-Bourget

My boyfriend and I arrived and immediately asked if there was space. A waitress (I think the owner) said, "Yes, yes, of course, come on in," and showed us to a table. Once we were settled in and deciding what to eat, she came back to us and said, word for word, "Well, actually, this table is already reserved." So we asked where we could go, and she replied, "The sun loungers and tables are taken. I'm going to ask you to leave." We were very surprised by the way it was said, so we left. We tried again an hour later and thought it might be because it was busy. Finally, we found a table, but once seated, we waited 30 minutes before someone came to take our order. The music was reggae on repeat, nothing else. And we didn't find the service polite at all. We had barely finished our crepes, we still had some in our mouths, when a waiter took our plates away. We didn't enjoy the moment.

A very pleasant place, we eat there as a family every year and it's always very enjoyable, simple quality cuisine, a pleasant dining room, good quality service and a magnificent view!

We had lunch on Monday, February 9th, 2026, and everything was very good. We particularly appreciated the staff. Everyone was smiling and welcoming. Well done, keep up the good work, it's a pleasure to receive such a warm welcome!

Stunning panoramic view. Cafeteria-style meal, but overpriced for the quality. Blueberry tart had no taste and the blueberries were still frozen.

We ordered mushroom fondue. But we were surprised by the worms in the mushrooms. The spectacle was so-so.

The service, to begin with, is very friendly! Always a smile, a kind word, and efficiency—bravo! The soup is delicious, and the croque monsieurs are perfect! It's a great place, and they even put a carafe of water on the table! At this altitude, that's incredibly thoughtful! The prices are also very reasonable for this type of establishment. No complaints whatsoever; it's wonderful! Long live La Norma, long live L'Eterlou! And congratulations to the whole team!

A delicious break at the top of the gondola, quick service, homemade crepes and mulled wine. Superb mountain views. Highly recommended.
