Restaurant L'Etoile sur Saint-Nexans

We had a wonderful time at L’Estela restaurant near Bergerac. We enjoyed a superb meal, especially the ribeye steak, which was perfectly cooked and delicious. The restaurant is very pleasant, the atmosphere is friendly, and the owner is particularly kind and welcoming. All this at very reasonable prices. I highly recommend it.

We had an absolutely delightful evening at this restaurant, which we discovered almost by chance. I want to emphasize how exceptional the welcome and the food were. The owner is incredibly kind, and the atmosphere is truly warm. The only slight downside: that evening, there was a group of customers who were a bit too noisy, beyond the control of the owner, which slightly affected the atmosphere. However, this in no way detracts from the quality of the service and the food, which deserve a 5/5. We will be back with great pleasure!

Quiet place and friendly service

Very friendly welcome, the restaurant has a beautiful terrace and a beautiful room. The cuisine is excellent with quality products and beautiful presentation. For wine lovers there is a very good wine list. And good value for money, I recommend.

We just had dinner at this bistro for the second time this week. The hotel La Chartreuse de Bignac (an excellent hotel!) booked for us. Thursday: tapas evening. Wide selection of tapas, all very tasty. But good news: tapas are also available on other days. The manager is welcoming, helpful, and very friendly. He really goes out of his way to make his guests feel comfortable. This evening, all three of us chose the duck breast with honey sauce. No need to rush all the way to Bergerac if you like duck breast: the one at L'Estelat is well worth the detour; you won't be disappointed. Wide selection of wines too. Simply tell the manager your preferences, and he'll be able to suggest THE perfect wine for you. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a friendly, relaxed experience in a quiet little village, while enjoying tasty bistro cuisine. Excellent value for money, with the added bonus of the friendly manager!
