L'Estela sits proudly on a quiet square, a very pleasant setting for a relaxing meal. We dined there twice and were thoroughly entertained. The menu offered delicious, high-quality dishes and a wide variety of choices. There's also a lovely wine selection to satisfy those looking to explore local and international wines. The owners' kindness is truly remarkable. It was a real pleasure chatting with them and seeing the passion they put into their work.

A truly welcoming restaurant, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the servers are absolutely wonderful with a touch of humor that everyone appreciates! I had the duck croquettes, which were excellent, followed by a hearty burger, also excellent, and for dessert, a chocolate fondant, as decadent as its name suggests. In short, I have nothing but praise; I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to have a superb evening!

Had an excellent unch time meal here. When we arrived there was already a party of about 15 cyclists who had arrived shortly before us. We didn't have to wait very long for our order to be taken nor did we wait too long to receive our meal despite then dealing with the other party. We had the beefburger and it was by far the best burger we have had in a long time. The staff couldn't have been more courteous and helpful. Praise to them. Would recommend to anyone.

Had lunch here years ago. Back then it was called the Three Stars. Visited again recently. Had a delicious lunch. A good place to remember. Friendly service!

If you're passing through Bergerac, this is the place to be for a good ribeye steak. I highly recommend it; it's like being at home.

09/06/2026: So, it's been almost a year. We decided to book La Chartreuse du Bignac for our wedding. It was a natural progression for us, since the proposal took place in this breathtaking setting. For the past year, La Chartreuse has been with us every step of the way, helping us choose the menu, the wines, and organizing everything. The big day was on June 6th, with exclusive use of the estate so our guests could extend the celebration. This weekend was unforgettable for everyone, from the planning to the culinary delights. Everything was wonderful, from the cocktail hour to the meal, and even breakfast. Thank you to Jean Twari and his team for the culinary creations, thank you to Marina Arfeuille for the organization and her support, thank you to Pauline Lavignerie and Bastien for the service in the rooms. Thank you to the entire team at La Chartreuse. For a truly unique and unforgettable experience, I highly recommend this estate; it's simply perfect.
25/05/2026: An authentic country house, renovated with great care and taste. The ideal place for a charming and very relaxing stay, whether by the pool overlooking the surrounding hills, in the shade of the chestnut trees or on the terrace of the excellent restaurant.
