Restaurant L'insolite sur Caen

I found the food very decent. The only downside was that the restaurant door remained open throughout the dinner, and therefore smoke came into the restaurant when we were eating indoors.

An unmissable address with a very diverse culinary offering. Atypical place, warm welcome orchestrated with humor by the owner. We take pleasure and we enjoy ourselves.... The two ch'tis

Nice place. Well served. Pleasant staff. We ate on the terrace, without prior reservation. Menu at €36. Unusual salad (duck breast, foie gras, salmon, shrimp, etc.), then a piece of Norman beef with morel sauce, and finally a tarte tatin. A real good time with the family.

I ate there on September 10 with a friend from Alsace...we had a lot of choice of restaurant but this one caught my attention with its interior decor...a bit baroque chic and very warm.. very pleasant light....we were welcomed by a charming person who seated us at a table that I loooooooooved!!! I felt really good there...the waitress, very friendly, did her job (the only downside is that I drink red wine as an aperitif and the bottle arrived a little cold and too late for the aperitif) but frankly the starters and dishes that we chose were delicious, very well cooked for the meat and fresh for the fish.. I loved it.....finally, the bill was reasonable, because we ate really well....I can't wait to go back....I remembered the table number to try to get the same one when booking

We have just eaten at the restaurant l'insolite in Caen (rue de Vaugueux), excellent food, we enjoyed it, the setting is warm, the owners very friendly and welcoming, we will come back

Locale turistico, come tutti quelli in zona, non si mangia neanche così male, solo che i tempi di attesa sono biblici. Prezzi alti, ma nella media della zona

Sans réservation pour un déjeuner à l'improviste ! Une superbe découverte. Patron adorable. Service irréprochable. Repas délicieux. Au plaisir de revenir
