Excellent lunch enjoyed on the patio under the warm February sun. This complete meal was professionally served, beautifully presented and delicious.

Generous and good value for money

In front of a warm fire in a pleasant room, we spent two hours enjoying drinks and dinner well prepared and cheerfully served. Mussels were small but the portion sufficient to share. My duck yakitori was a tasty fusion. Cathey’s St. Jacques could have been better, served as it was in a deep bowl that didn’t allow the pasta to breathe, a minor but real disappointment. At dessert, I simply asked our server if there was anything chocolate, and chocolate arrived in the form of a gooey lava cake, a scoop of ice cream, and chantilly. All in all, a comfortable and satisfying dining experience. At above 45€ per person, we won’t return often, but we will return.

A true gem nestled in the heart of Aigne. Lo Cagarol offers exactly what you expect from a restaurant that respects its cuisine: fresh, high-quality ingredients, prepared with integrity, and dishes that have the good sense to let the local character speak for itself rather than relying on artifice. In our case, every dish was perfectly executed. Nothing pretentious, just a quiet mastery that is a pleasure to witness. You can tell that the cooking is truly dedicated, and that's not so common. The setting deserves special mention. The stone dining room, the fireplace, the soft lighting… you feel like you're being invited into the home of someone who knows how to host, not just passing customers. The atmosphere is warm without being kitschy, charming and genuine. An address to remember, to recommend, and to return to without hesitation. A restaurant that does you good and reminds us that good food begins with sincerity.

We booked a restaurant through our guesthouse in La Caunette for our first evening. They described it as an excellent restaurant with good value for money. We were absolutely not disappointed; quite the opposite. Everything was excellent and carefully prepared. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through the area.

It's good, it's inexpensive, it's fresh, seasonal, and homemade. The service is fast and efficient. Honestly, a great discovery... reservations recommended... I highly recommend it.
