RESTAURANT MANDOOBAR sur Paris

Phenomenal restaurant! I love the places with small menus and are hyper focused on quality of the ingredients and execution of the dishes. Mandoobar delivered on all levels and the setting was also very welcoming yet classy. Ordered the tuna, sea bream and beef tartar, and then the kimchi, bulgogi and shrimp mandoo. Everything was amazing. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great meal!

A delightful Korean dumpling restaurant, reservations are recommended as seating is limited, but the entire menu (admittedly small) is excellent. Special mention goes to the seared beef and mackerel tartares, which are the best fish and meat dishes I've had in a while. It's a bit pricey, but reasonable considering the quality of the ingredients and the cuisine. A very pleasant experience at Mandoobar; thank you to the entire team for their attentive service to each table. Looking forward to returning soon!

A culinary journey, refined and colorful dishes, an explosion of flavors.

The food is excellent, no doubt about it! The flavors and seasonings are superb! But the service… we had a reservation for four at 12:30 pm on a Saturday, and at 1:20 pm we were asked to choose a dessert even though we hadn't finished our main course. At 1:27 pm, the bill arrived just as we were putting down our cutlery. This didn't detract from the meal at all; we were rushed. Doing two seatings in such a short time on a Saturday lunchtime is simply not feasible: they absolutely must rethink their approach to ensure diners have a pleasant experience. It's a real shame.

Unique dinning experience & fantastic value

The best Korean restaurant in Paris! I've been a loyal customer for over 10 years, and the food is still as refined as ever, the chefs are skilled in their preparation and the dishes they offer, and the service is superb! I'll be back, again and again.

With its patchwork of wood paneling and delicate tableware, Mandoobar is an island of refinement. Seated at the U-shaped counter under a branch-shaped lamp, you can watch chef Kim Kwang-loc slice, dice, and remove the famous "mandoo" from his steamers: ultra-light Korean dumplings filled with lacto-fermented kimchi, vegetables, soy-sesame marinated beef, or bulgogi. Besides these addictive morsels, Kim also serves fresh soy-scallion-radish salads arranged like delicate little gardens, perfectly balanced beef and fatty tuna tartares, and, to accompany them, a soup or a bowl of rice. Enough to feast joyfully while sipping the foam from a Max beer (€4) or sipping a superb semi-fermented Korean tea, ceremoniously served (€7). Before giving in, of course, to a scoop (yes, just one) of homemade sorbet that evening, a stunning grapefruit-pepper.
