Papa Lisa remains a true Strasbourg institution, a place people love to return to for a good meal in a friendly atmosphere. For years, it has offered generous cuisine, featuring authentic Alsatian classics and pizzas that are consistently excellent.
However, during my last two visits, I felt something had changed in the kitchen. While the pizzas are still a sure thing, the other dishes seemed less refined and less flavorful than before. It's a shame, because this establishment has long been a benchmark for me.
I sincerely hope this is just a temporary dip in quality, because Papa Lisa deserves to return to the level that made its reputation.

Disappointed with the restaurant, you pay for an all-you-can-eat meal and receive, at different times, one order of meat and the other of white pizza. You call the waitress back and she tells you it's the kitchen that didn't see the order, and then on the bill you pay the price of the all-you-can-eat meal. Where's the logic?

We received a rather cold welcome; we were barely seated when we were asked if we had chosen our drinks, something we hadn't yet had time to do, which seemed to annoy the waitress.
As a result, 15 minutes later, we still hadn't ordered any drinks or food!
Otherwise, the pizza was good and the dessert was very good.
