Restaurant Pass'port sur La Rochelle

We went there today. Very reasonable price considering the location, very friendly and welcoming waiters. The mussels in cream sauce with Pineau des Charentes were excellent, and the sirloin steak was succulent and a generous portion. I highly recommend it. We'll be back when we're next in La Rochelle.

The place looks nice, the servers are decent. It's a shame the mussels are overcooked, tasteless, and barely warm. There was no bread; we had to ask for it.

A lovely restaurant opposite the port of La Rochelle! Friendly staff, good food, and affordable prices! I highly recommend it.

Le Pass'port is clearly a brasserie in the port of La Rochelle, a very touristy area designed to attract crowds. It's neither a gourmet bistro nor a hidden gem, so don't expect a sophisticated atmosphere. That said, I find some of the reviews a bit harsh. The establishment doesn't pretend to be anything more than a good portside brasserie—simple, a little rustic, but rather authentic in its own way (and that's a good thing!). People come here for classic dishes: burgers, mussels and fries, crêpes, and especially for the location. Personally, I found the food simple and good, with excellent sweet crêpes. The service was friendly, with a fairly young and energetic team. It might not be the ideal place for those seeking a fine dining experience, but for a restaurant located on the port of La Rochelle, I think it holds its own quite well.

Excellent food, very pleasant waiter with a smile, a rare thing these days. Whenever I can go with my wife, it's our favorite restaurant. The dishes are very flavorful, and for those who are picky, go for quantity over quality. For me, quality is what I prefer, and I highly recommend this great restaurant.

Always a pleasure to come to this restaurant. Open on weekends without reservations. The daily special is always excellent and worth discovering. Very reasonable prices. A real treat.
