Restaurant Pirates sur Chasseneuil-Du-Poitou

Not a lot of choice for food - more just somewhere to drink. Was above a buffet restaurant. But the food we had was good and plenty of it. Cocktails were pre-made I think but ok.

Contrary to other reviews, I didn't find the food to be mass-produced. There's probably some, but all-you-can-eat buffets are often exclusively mass-produced. You pay upon arrival, which is nice because then you and the servers are all set. A drink is included in the price. We were 4 adults (€26) and 4 children (€18). Dividing the total, it came to €22.50 each, which is reasonable these days for a restaurant. Personally, I thought it was good value for money, especially for a restaurant in an area like this, near Futuroscope.

The evening meal was excellent value for money, the pirate entertainment was great, and the staff were very pleasant and professional. I highly recommend it. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The only downside was the shoulder-length waitress who was there on Thursday, July 30th at 9:45 am. She immediately started speaking rudely to the cashier, who had kindly allowed us to sit near the buffet because a lot of children were shouting and complaining about her in the play area. Afterwards, she went on a tirade about us and the cashier to her male colleague without even noticing that I was at the coffee machine. It's a shame because everything else was perfect, but her lack of professionalism towards her colleague was disappointing.

Absolutely excellent from start to finish. A warm welcome awaited us at the entrance. The bartender was friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent. Thank you for your hospitality, good humor, and energy.

We had our evening meals and breakfast at the Pirates of the Caribbean restaurant at Futuroscope, and we have very fond memories of it. The decor is truly immersive: you really feel like you're there! The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, and a drink is included with each meal. I think some reviews are a bit harsh, as there really is something for everyone. For children, there are nuggets, burgers, potato pancakes, and more—everyone can easily find something they like. Breakfast is also very comprehensive, with a wide selection. The staff constantly ensures that the buffet is always full, and the tables are cleaned promptly. In the evening, a treasure hunt is organized for children by a captain and his cabin boy. The captain creates fantastic balloon sculptures, and the cabin boy offers face painting for the children. It's sure to delight them and make the meal even more enjoyable! Finally, a big thank you to the staff. Whether at the bar, in the dining room, at reception, or even with the cooks who regularly check that there are enough dishes left on the buffet, everyone is smiling, welcoming, and kind. And a special thank you to Ella (if I heard her name correctly, the young woman who was at the bar and the next day at reception) who did something special for my son's 19th birthday. That was very kind of you. A truly wonderful experience that we highly recommend!

The restaurant has a very successful atmosphere thanks to its well-recreated pirate theme, sometimes featuring entertainment, especially for children. The buffet offers a wide selection of food, and you can also create your own burgers. However, the overall quality is rather average. PS: The people in the photos have been removed by AI.

A buffet that the kids enjoyed, but didn't exactly thrill me. It did the job for our arrival evening in the Futuroscope hotel area, but it wasn't very elaborate: chips and guacamole, a few salads, watermelon, lots of desserts, and hot dishes like lasagna, bone-in ham, and enough for a hamburger…

It's good, but not extraordinary, but for the price it's decent and worth doing once.
