As a photographer, I have just returned from capturing a beautiful wedding at Chateau de Fretoy. And what a wonderful location this is. The surroundings and the location itself exude a Burgundian atmosphere.
From the moment you arrive, you know you are in for a treat. The entire grounds are well-maintained; there is a tennis court, swimming pool, and pétanque court for relaxing with your guests. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and tidy. The owners stay in the background during the wedding but are very approachable, as are the staff and third parties such as the caterer, florist, saxophone, and pizza truck.
From both an aesthetic perspective and a focus on the guests, this location is highly recommended!
The beauty of the property speaks for itself. What really stands out is how great Renche and Geert are as hosts. They do everything they can to make sure your event is exactly as you want it to be. They were communicative, kind, and informative. The property is absolutely beautiful and is clearly well taken care of. Our wedding was everything we could have wished, and guests told us it was a once in a lifetime experience. If you’re like me, and booked/want to book this venue without seeing it in person first, DO IT! The property is like something out of a fairytale. None of this could have been possible without Renche and Geert’s guidance. Their cleaning staff and bartender were very hard workers, and we were very pleased with the outcome. We hope to come back for our anniversary in the future. I would recommend this property and Renche and Geert 100000 times over.
Perfect wedding weekend at Château de Frétoy. We were so lucky with the weather and everything felt magical from start to finish. Planning with Rénche was fantastic; she made the whole process smooth, stress-free, and enjoyable. The venue is absolutely stunning and created the perfect atmosphere for our family and friends. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our wedding!
The Château de Fretoy was an unforgettable discovery for our Swiss and Dutch families who came to reunite and stay for four wonderful days. The Château, its grounds, its outbuildings, and our two hosts, as well as their excellent advice on local chefs to hire, left nothing to be desired; we highly recommend this place.
