We (wife and I) stayed here en-route from Cannes to Lake Como. Time appeared to have stood still at the hotel for at least 50 years.... but we loved it in a shabby-chic way. Our room was old but reasonably comfy, complete with TV and an old but very powerful shower, complete with white tile grout which was now a nice shade of grey. For our evening meal, we chose pizzas, which were very good. The proprietor and his assistant were friendly and helpful. The village and locality is nice and old, very old, with almost no touristy commercialism. We would love to return sometime. Don't 'modernise' this hotel just because a few moaning reviews suggest so!
La classica vecchia osteria di paese. A vederla non fa una bella impressione ma ci ha piacevolmente sorpresi. Abbiamo mangiato molto bene, cibo semplice e abbiamo speso poco. Il proprietario ci ha serviti con gentilezza e disponibilità. Non ho mangiato pizza perché c'è l'ho in Italia e non posso esprimermi sulle camere. Consiglio la ratatouille e gli involtini con gnocchi. Buonissimi!
Abbiamo fruito solo del ristorante. L’atmosfera è fantastica, c’è da sperare che anziché come auspicato da critiche negative, il locale non si modernizzi affatto, ma mantenga questa patina, questo cachet e questo charme da luogo desueto in località altrettanto desueta. In particolare la sala interna è un piccolo gioiello. Il menù è vario e il rapporto qualità/prezzo ottimo. Ci auguriamo non scompaia e non si aggiungano altri elementi decorativi “moderni” a quei pochi già presenti che al contrario andrebbero levati. Sarebbe bello trovare anche i “sugeli”!
Il est vrai que l'ensemble du lieux aurait besoin d'un bon coup de rajeunissement. Pour dormir largement suffisant, de plus avec la Roya au pied des chambres avec son doux murmure de l'eau. Repas très bons, gnocchis et les raviolis.
