We ate there with our family. The staff were all very friendly. However, the food wasn't particularly outstanding. The cordon bleu was deliciously crispy and juicy. The prices were also reasonable. The steak, on the other hand, was tough, riddled with sinew, and not really tasty. I mean, a cordon bleu isn't exactly a culinary masterpiece and should be mastered if you're going to offer it. The same goes for the steak, although I think there's much more that can go wrong. But if you want to stand out, you should know how to cook. We also ordered additional drinks at one point, which were simply forgotten. The salad for the cordon bleu and steak came in a large salad bowl, like at home. It was just a simple green salad without anything else – just green leaves. It tasted okay, but it was bland. I would have preferred a nicely presented small side salad with, for example, croutons, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. All in all, we've been there twice now and haven't been particularly impressed either time. Therefore, we tend to conclude that the food and service are not very good.

The most beautiful restaurant for sitting outside and enjoying the outdoors. Super friendly service, excellent French food, and a great atmosphere. The view is priceless, and on Friday evenings in the summer, there's usually a small live band. Perfect! I've known it since I was a child, and we always come back. ❤️❤️❤️

Since my student days in the early 1990s, I've always enjoyed coming here. Especially during the Beaujolais Nouveau season, I have vivid memories of some evenings, though the details are somewhat hazy 😎. The outdoor seating area under old chestnut trees offers a phenomenal view. It's a great place to enjoy delicious food and relax, and afterwards, you can take a walk with friends and your dog.

For over 50 years and still consistently excellent. It doesn't have to be the frog legs. The artichoke is also fantastic. The vinaigrette and the mayo. Everything is good. Very French, even though it's right on the border. Great surroundings and view.

Woll is and remains the gastronomic institution in the border region—and has been for decades. Here, they continue to focus on classic, authentic Lorraine/French cuisine without any frills. The biggest draw, besides the pleasant, family-run, and friendly service (thanks to Stefanie—it was a pleasure!), is and remains the large terrace shaded by chestnut trees. But the atmosphere inside is also very pleasant. All in all, solid cuisine, superb service, and a traditional atmosphere. We'll definitely be back! 👍

Solid, traditional cuisine. The restaurant impresses with its consistently excellent food, service, and value for money. The menu offers good, traditional cuisine that perfectly suits the region. The lovely ambiance is particularly noteworthy: the restaurant is located just outside the town in a green setting and offers not only a great outdoor seating area but also ample parking right outside. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable and down-to-earth place for a relaxing visit.
