What a great and delicious experience! We first visited Xavier at Xa in 1990, then again in 1994 on our honeymoon. We were already fascinated by this beautiful restaurant with a retro look, the personal welcome from Xavier and the cooking skills of his wife Martine. Over 30 years later we visited the Xa again on the occasion of our 30th wedding anniversary on a trip to Provence. Unfortunately we learned that Xavier had passed away. However, the restaurant has remained unchanged and Martine is still conjuring up her very tasty menus in the kitchen! We were warmly welcomed and served by Melanie, Xavier and Martine's daughter. A wonderful, unforgettable evening, with excellent food and wine, in the middle of St-Rémy, with many memories. Merci Martine and Melanie, we'll be back!

Looking for vegetarian options, we came across this lovely restaurant in the center of Saint-Remy-de-Provence. The food was delicious, made by a Sicilian chef, and served by her daughter. Both were lovely and caring. We had a great time, we will come back!

Piccolo locale un po' defilato, non turistico. Atmosfera particolare per l'arredamento retrò, con grande specchio dorato e mobili d'epoca, sembra di andare indietro nel tempo; il sottofondo Jazz, finalmente non modaiolo, estremamente piacevole e rilassante. Una sorpresa il menu: abbiamo gustato (eravamo in 3) una particolarissima zuppetta di pesce e crostacei, squisita, e triglie con riso Venere, con contorno di verdure grigliate. Sublime il parfait d'aubergines, che ho tentato (invano) di rifare a casa. Come dessert, biancomangiare e un'indimenticabile composta di rabarbaro, introvabile in Italia, accompagnata da confettura di lamponi. Vino della casa e ottimo pure il caffé. Conto onesto. Se fossi più vicina, ci andrei tutti i giorni. Squisita gentilezza da parte della signora che serviva ai tavoli e della chef.

It's like entering a dream, a retro atmosphere and very pleasant jazz music in the background. Few dishes masterfully executed; wonderful parfait d'aubergines, which I recommend; red mullet with Venere rice, grilled vegetables and, for dessert, we tried the blancmange and an unforgettable rhubarb compote (not to be found in Italy) accompanied by homemade raspberry jam. Discreet and attentive service; excellent house wine; honest account. Highly recommended, off the beaten track: for connoisseurs.
