We chose this restaurant for its wide selection of flammekueches (or flammenkuchen) and its delicious traditional Alsatian specialties. The value for money is excellent. Furthermore, the staff is particularly attentive to customers and was very kind to our dog, who was perfectly welcome on the terrace.

The apple strudel was very good, as was the latte macchiato. The outdoor seating is lovely, offering fantastic views in both directions of the beautiful half-timbered houses and the surrounding mountains. Highly recommended :-)

While passing through the area, we received impeccable service and exceptional friendliness at this establishment, even just for a coffee and a delicious hot chocolate! I highly recommend it! Thank you, Martine!

Very tasty flammkuchen with all kinds of different flavors. Good local wines and certainly not expensive. Quiet terrace with plenty of foot traffic and views of the mountains or the shopping street. Nice atmosphere and service. Highly recommended!

Beautiful spot right in the middle of the village. The flammkuchen were delicious paired with a local wine. The price is great!

Beautiful place, the service was excelent and the waiters were very nice. I strongly recommend the Monaco Beer. Also, the tartes are very good😊 I would eat again here😚

25/08/2026: It's a shame the terrace was closed. The room was a bit cramped. Very good location and friendly staff.
24/08/2026: Excellent meal with typical Alsatian dishes (sauerkraut and Munster cheese gratin) on a terrace overlooking the Weiss river.

Restaurant Au Lion d'Or

30/08/2026: An upscale restaurant in a tourist town. The food tastes good, but not excellent. The schnitzel is not recommended (undercooked and rather overcooked). The desserts are all delicious.
26/08/2026: Rustic and traditional Alsatian atmosphere. Recommended by friends, we still had to wait in line for about thirty minutes (Christmas market season). The portions are generous, although the prices are a bit high (probably inflated for the time of year). The service is adequate, nothing more.
