We came as a group of six and received a very warm welcome from a smiling and friendly waitress. The meal was absolutely delicious with a beautiful presentation on the plate 😍. I highly recommend this restaurant 👍 we will definitely be back.

We were looking for a restaurant to try the iconic calf's head from the Foire des Hérolles. We recommend this restaurant located 15 km away (about 20 minutes). The menu was shortened for the occasion (1 starter, 3 main courses to choose from, and 1 dessert). The rave reviews about the food are completely justified. And the prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, the comments already noted about the wait time are also justified (50 minutes before the first course). Luckily, Google reviews were there to warn us, and we arrived with fully charged phones!

I was hesitating between 2 and 3 stars. I first came to this restaurant a year ago and have fond memories of the food, but not the service. This time it was the opposite: the service was friendly, but I was disappointed with the food. My starter was good (a soft-boiled egg that wasn't very crispy) and very generous. However, the main course was almost inedible… it's the first time in my life I've left my plate almost untouched. I think it's great that they can adapt the dishes for vegetarians. But this was incredibly salty; even my mother, who is a smoker and used to very salty food, left half her plate. The potatoes must have been reheated in the oven just before; they were mealy. Apparently, there was a mishap in the kitchen (which can happen, of course), but when that happens, I expect some kind of compensation… Fortunately, the desserts were very good, and that's why I'm giving it 3 stars. Another point: the vegetarian dish is the same price as the one with fish, which I find excessive considering it contains no protein. (Unless there are split peas in the pea purée.) Good to know: the wait can be a problem if you're with children or in a hurry to eat (3 hours at the table). Positive point: organic drinks are available.

Simply good food in a cozy atmosphere and fast, attentive service.

The place is very pleasant, the waitress is kind and attentive. The dishes are truly divine, the quality is exceptional, and the sauces and side dishes are perfectly chosen. And to top it all off, the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality. However, the wait is incredibly long! Almost an hour for the appetizer, over 30 minutes for the main course, and 20 minutes for dessert. The wait really detracts from the quality of everything else. If you go, be prepared for a particularly good meal, but be prepared to take your time.

There were 10 of us, including 4 children, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The appetizers were a delight (the melon, port, and tarragon sauce appetizer pictured is pictured; the melon and tarragon ice cream is to die for!). The main courses were also homemade, delicious, and generous. The desserts were magnificent, perhaps a little too rich after the appetizer and main course, but those with a sweet tooth will be thrilled!

Good to know: dogs not allowed (and their owners too). We booked early in the morning because the photos looked appetizing, and we hadn't seen anything on the company's Facebook page or TripAdvisor about not allowing dogs. Besides, there's a terrace, where dogs are generally welcome in French restaurants. Since we were traveling with our Bichon Frise, we didn't have the option of leaving him at our accommodation. Note that Google doesn't offer a filter for restaurants that accept or don't accept pets, and the "about" section of the restaurant doesn't mention that they don't allow pets. We were met with a rude awakening upon arriving at "Chez Léon," where we were refused entry and told that "with a pet, the polite thing to do is to ask when making a reservation." Not only are dogs not allowed, but their owners are also treated poorly. A shame.
