The dishes are good, varied and this restaurant does not hesitate to offer international dishes which is appreciated! There is also a good choice of starters and desserts, often "homemade" desserts which is also a positive point. However, the waiting time is very long and there are few places inside. I know this is due to the fact that many people overstay their welcome (especially groups) but a more regular check of the room might be a good idea.

Having been a distance student for several years now, this restaurant was my favorite place to eat for lunch because of its proximity to the university palace, when I come to Strasbourg. Yesterday, when I came to eat around 1:00 p.m., I had a very unpleasant experience there for the first time: since the beginning of the year, entries have been made self-service by asking people using this restaurant to be “reasonable with the quantities”, that is to say not to take “too much”. I carried with me a heavy bag with all my belongings for the day, since when I come to Strasbourg for the day, I have no possibility of dropping it off in a safe place at lunchtime. The people behind me were pushing for the queue to move faster and I caught a smartphone in the ribs more than once. It was in this context that I helped myself to grated carrots with tongs that I had difficulty controlling. The woman serving in this area of ​​the self-service area immediately reprimanded me: "You have to be reasonable with the quantities, sir! We're going to charge you extra!" I was speechless by this remark, which I received as inappropriate and infantilizing. I am neither someone who is in the position of stuffing myself on the spot because meals are not expensive, nor someone who wastes food. Previously, starters were portioned by staff. I don't know what led to the abandonment of this way of proceeding, although in this context, the question of "reasonable portions" did not arise. Now unpleasant remarks are added to the menu. It is worth mentioning that yesterday small pre-filled plates were offered, but with the same starch as that of the main course. In the future I will avoid this restaurant. It is unacceptable to be harassed like this while at the same time, incredible quantities of food are thrown away.

Very very good experience at Restau U Gallia with very welcoming and warm staff. Particularly Anais who works there who has a smile and is very friendly despite the many students who do not know how to follow simple instructions while being disrespectful, Anais knows how to be polite and smiling. A big thank you to her and the whole team!!!

Very good university restaurant with a very good atmosphere. Particularly the Crous team who are very pleasant with all the students despite the disrespect of certain students... I was able to chat with Anaïs who was simply adorable. Very nice person with whom I was able to interact, I hope to see her again. The meals are generally good and the staff are welcoming. My only negative point concerns the crowds of students to brave to be able to enjoy it on a daily basis.
