A Montparnasse institution. Classic Parisian brasserie setting, beautiful dining room, attentive service. Excellent value for money for a place with so much character. Highly recommended.

We visited at 9pm and sat on the terrace, which had a wonderful atmosphere, and the staff were very friendly. •Assiette de Fruits de Mer — I originally planned to order only oysters, but changed mind and chose this seafood platter instead, and I was very glad I did. It came with oysters, mussels, shrimp, whelks, clams. Everything tasted fresh and delicious.It was my first time trying raw mussels, and they were surprisingly excellent. The oysters, of course, were also very good. The staff were thoughtful enough to serve the seafood platter first and bring our other mains afterwards, which I appreciated. •Filet de Bar de Corse au Citron Confit, Riz Sauvage — This was easily my favorite dish of the evening. It was good enough that I genuinely found myself wondering how it was made. The doneness of the rice, the seasoning, and the consistency of the sauce were all excellent. •Soupe à l’Oignon Gratinée — A fairly standard french onion soup. It is still a little too heavy and salty for personal taste with plenty of cheese. After trying the fish, I actually regretted ordering the onion soup instead of using the opportunity to try another main dish. I would happily return to explore more of the menu. What also stayed with me was the service on the terrace. Even while they were busy, the staff remained professional, attentive, and welcoming to everyone.

We had a lovely meal here! Started with a selection of oysters, which the waiter walked us through and explained - super helpful as we were not knowledgable! The mains were simple - we had the bavette steak, which was also good. We saw the tartare being prepared, which was good fun. Quite enjoyed the waiters and the other patrons. A fun lively restaurant in Paris. Food is nothing out of this world, but you’ll have a good time here and be taken care of!

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to La Rotonde de Montparnasse for their warm welcome and convivial atmosphere. This historic establishment is a true Parisian institution that played a significant role in the cultural and artistic life of Montparnasse in the early 20th century. I had the pleasure of spending a very enjoyable time at this restaurant and enjoying a truly excellent meal. I particularly appreciated the quality of the dishes, the ambiance, and the attentive service provided by the staff. Visiting La Rotonde is also a chance to discover a piece of Parisian history, in a place once frequented by numerous artists and intellectuals, including Picasso, Modigliani, and Cocteau. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wishing to discover a historic Parisian landmark, enjoy a wonderful atmosphere, and savor French cuisine. An experience I wholeheartedly recommend!

Ate the poisson au citron a year ago, and Im still dreaming about it. Best poisson ever - From a peruvian who loves food.
