The sauerkraut was bland, tasteless. A bit disappointing for an "Alsatian tavern." The French toast was reheated, not crispy at all, and completely soggy. On the plus side, the service was pleasant. The young waitress was very attentive.

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant enjoying a generous Vosges platter, a delicious blueberry tart, and a homemade beer. Everything had a distinctly homemade feel, along with a friendly and warm welcome. The dining room was filled with regulars who come back time and again to share happy moments.

A nice little traditional Alsatian restaurant. The food is homemade and good, and the service is very good. Not quite a 5-star experience, as the sauerkraut wasn't exceptional (the meat was good, but the cabbage was so-so), according to my companions.

Le Grand Cafe

18/03/2026: Despite the bartender's disparaging remarks about the slow mobility of an elderly person with a disability (suggesting next time she should come with wheels, and ranting, in shorts behind the bar, that it delayed his run and he should already be back), we had a very good meal. The presentation was excellent, the foie gras perfect, the duck cooked to perfection, and let's not forget the delicious calf's head. The service was quick and efficient, provided by Anne, our waitress, who was attentive and genuinely kind. I'm keeping the bill high, considering that management shouldn't have to suffer the consequences of its employees' actions. A lovely setting in front of the cathedral. I recommend this establishment.
14/03/2026: A sure bet in Saint-Dié! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Everything was impeccable: a warm welcome and perfect service. The dishes are of high quality with excellent value for money. Special mention for the pace of service, neither too slow nor too fast. I highly recommend it!

20/03/2026: A first visit to this restaurant and frankly a pleasant surprise, both in terms of the quality of the food and the service. We will soon be repeating the experience.
