Satsuki sur Tignes

Really really good sushi, as good as anywhere I have had. Great to get something different this high up. You can sit in but there is only two small tables or takeaway. You can order what you want or grab one of their readymade boxes in the fridge.

The staff is very friendly, some vegan options are welcome (be careful, the miso soup is not) but the prices are quite high even if I understand the logistical constraints of supplying the resort which inevitably drive up the prices. On the other hand, an effort would be appreciated to reduce plastic packaging. There are many alternatives, particularly cardboard, which do the job just as well.

An amazing sushi experience in the French Alps As a big advocate for sushi , it was great to see I could combine my love for ski and that I can eat sushi within the same environment while doing it France. Really great quality sushi, at a very good price point , a good place for a simple and warm meal around Tignes, the family who run it are Japanese , an authentic dining experience. Would definitely come back and dine here again or have a takeaway !

Surprising! Accustomed to bland sushi and sashimi in urban areas, I didn't think I would find anything better in the mountains, and yes! Fresh and fine products, Melting red tuna sashimi: THANK YOU!

I love, love, love this place! I don’t know what I was expecting when I walked in but it caught me by surprise. My wife and I adore Sushi and we found this place with great reviews. We were hoping for a fancy ‘restaurant’ vibe but this wasn’t it. In fact, it was so much better. The place is really small and intimate. Slightly basic looking. Don’t let this put you off. The owner is the kindest, most genuine person you could meet. His two children help him run the business and they are equally as charming. The owner/chef speaks fluent English, French and Japanese. He engages with all the customers and his engagement made our evening. The food was lovely. Fresh, well presented and tasty. It was so delicious we ordered seconds and pigged out. We even booked a table for the following evening; It was that good. I review 1/3 of the places I eat. I know this place will be a core memory due to the fabulous sushi and wonderful chef/owner and his adorable family. It’s a must visit if you’re in Tignes.
