While traveling in Paris, after reading reviews and knowing absolutely nothing about Lebanese cuisine, we walked into Savannah! What a pleasant surprise! The owner and waitress were incredibly friendly and attentive to both adults and children. The food was surprisingly good and high-quality; we had a wonderful time! Go without hesitation; the owner is a true expert, full of anecdotes, cultural insights, and of course, delicious food!

40 years in the business doesn't happen overnight 🦁👑 Actually, let's call him a culinary craftsman, or even an artist, for the man behind the magic.
The journey to Lebanon 🇱🇧 begins the moment you step through the door into a room Antoine de Saint-Exupéry himself might have imagined 🛩️🐪
Under a savanna-colored hat 🟫, our host warmly welcomes us and sincerely guides us through his menu, introducing us to authentic Lebanese cuisine! 🏜️
An assortment of mezze accompanied by falafel balls for three people 😋
Then, each person chooses their own dish, with the option of the daily special.
A leg of lamb 🐑 with almonds and generously garnished with herbs and spices for me, a steak tartare with its excellent garlic purée for my mother, and a saddle of lamb cooked in a traditional grilled style—exquisite for my father 🤤
To accompany this culinary adventure, I chose a drink I'd never tried before: Arak 🍶. A smooth, anise-flavored Lebanese drink, quite different from the typical French Ricard or Greek ouzo 🌿
Finally, dessert is a must at such a great restaurant 🍰. My mother and father enjoyed profiteroles while I devoured a milk cream flavored with pistachio and cinnamon 🥛
Another unfamiliar dessert 😯, but wonderful for me, as I discovered a new way to enjoy milk.
This gives me ideas for maybe trying to recreate this dessert at home someday, whether I like it or not 💭
Finally, as the conversation led me to discover that the mysterious chef who so perfectly complements and captures the strong personality of our host is a long-time friend 🧑🍳
Hats off to the artist, one for passing on the tradition so well and the other for making it so perfectly his own 👏
In short, meticulous work forged through sustained effort and sustained over time, which, 40 years later, is more evocative than ever 🇱🇧🏜️🦁
