Shalimar sur Augny

A regular at Shalimar in downtown Metz, I went to this one because I was nearby. I was rather disappointed. The service is slow but for a Saturday that is perhaps understandable. The dishes are OK but clearly not as good as in town, especially the cheese naan. The buffet is not highlighted on the menu. I was generally having a decent time when I discovered the state of the ice bin. It is rusty inside, dirty with lots of small brown bits of dirt and traces of ice on the bottom. Frankly, it disgusted me. The serving spoon had been there for too long, the water was far too saturated to clean and had not been changed regularly. So I wasn't able to eat the ice cream I had served myself. And what about toilet paper to wipe your hands in the toilet? Or the power strip next to the bar which is really very dirty… Honestly after seeing that I wondered if it was the same in the kitchen and what I could have eaten during the meal. Anyway, I'll go back to town next time.

Very good restaurant. Not a bad choice in terms of buffet. The prices are really very reasonable.

Good formula, all you can eat, which allows you to taste different good Indian dishes. Possibility of ordering a la carte too.

Personnel très sympathique, buffet conséquent, varié et très bon: nous y allons régulièrement et ne sommes jamais déçus. Très bon à la carte également: à recommander!

Buffet à volonté à 11€90, prix bon marché. Cuisine correcte mais pas incroyable Déco ancienne, un rafraîchissement serait nécessaire. Service long : du temps pour les menus enfants, pour réapprovisionner le buffet, pourtant le restaurant n'était pas plein du tout.

Plats exotiques et bons ....on se sent dépaysé ....dommage que l'environnement soit un peu trop 'commercial' . Service sympathique

Restaurant Indien a volonté de bonne qualité. Pour le prix du menu le midi c'est super raisonnable et très abordable. Peu de choix mais suffisant pour être satisfait. Dommage que pour le Naan il n'y ait que le choix de la version au fromage Sinon je recommande !
