We came for lunch and received a very warm welcome from our server, who was both funny and knowledgeable! He was kind enough to adapt to my Western palate, and the chef even created a new version of the dish just for me. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite (the baozi were the best I've ever tasted in Beijing), and we especially appreciated the delicious little chocolates on a bed of smoked tea to round off this culinary journey!

We have just returned from dinner at this amazing restaurant. The food and service are fantastic, unfortunately our evening was spoiled by a group of guests who came to the next table in sports training kits, were talking very loudly and playing cards throughout the dinner. You don't expect this in a Michelin restaurant in the Shangri-la hotel. Maybe it was our fault for not being able to adapt, but I think that a restaurant of this level is partly responsible for the behavior of the guests and maintaining a certain level of behavior, especially if it may be a nuisance to others. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was not up to par, the food and service were exceptional....

We took the set menu with paired teas. Everything was delicious, with the shrimp ravioli, the crispy Peking duck, and certainly the excellent service as highlights.

Wonderful experience. Had the chance to try the Emeral tasting menu with Tea & Wine pairing. My favourites were probably the “Crêpes de riz rouge aux crevettes” and the Gong Bao lobster.
Service was very elegant and professional. Particularly Patrick was very helpful, he paid a lot of attention to detail.
Chef Tony Xu was very kind and welcoming, he took a bit of time to speak with me about Chengdu and sichuanese cuisine.
Overall a very positive experience!

Shang Palace is the only Chinese restaurant with one Michelin star in France, located in the Shangri-La Hotel in Paris. The restaurant has a simple decor and a tranquil atmosphere. The service is attentive. We tried the tasting menu, which consists of a selection of classic Cantonese dishes: assorted dim sum, roast duck and pork, fried rice, and more. While it didn't wow me, everything was very well prepared, with the attention to detail one expects from a Michelin-starred restaurant. The weakest point was the fried rice. The average price was €96 per person, which was fair for the quality. I found it a bit expensive for the originality of the menu. The tea is good, but it costs €28. I would only return if it were to try new dishes that would teach me something new about Cantonese haute cuisine.

My children treated me to a wonderful tasting experience, the "Emerald" menu, for my 70th birthday, in the company of their father, my husband.
We embarked on a journey through a variety of gourmet dishes, adapted without spicy notes by the chef, accompanied by very special teas that complemented all the flavors. Our friendly and knowledgeable guide, Louis, explained each course to us at every stage. His expertise was delightful and invaluable, enriching our understanding. Our journey in this magnificent setting, with a smiling and welcoming team, ended with a surprise "fish" – a symbol of happiness and longevity. We will gladly return.
