Beautiful architecture. Not many shops. But it's worth a visit.

Les Docks Village Les Docks Village was one of the most enjoyable surprises of our trip. It perfectly blends historic architecture with a modern, vibrant atmosphere, creating a place that’s just as fun to explore as it is to shop and dine. The beautifully restored buildings are full of character, and every corridor seems to reveal another unique boutique, café, or inviting restaurant. It’s clean, welcoming, and has a relaxed energy that encourages you to slow down and enjoy the experience rather than rush through it. Whether you’re stopping for a coffee, browsing local shops, or simply admiring the architecture, Les Docks Village offers something for everyone. It’s a refreshing break from the typical tourist attractions and feels like a place locals genuinely enjoy as well. If you’re visiting Marseille, make time for Les Docks Village. It’s a hidden gem that combines history, style, and charm into one unforgettable destination. We left wishing we had planned even more time there, and we’d gladly return on our next visit. Highly recommended!

I was able to visit an exhibition of old photos of the old port of Marseille. Super interesting and a very warm welcome.

The location is splendid, but the choice of shops is incomprehensible. The only advantage is that they're not the same as everywhere else. Edit, a few years later: The situation hasn't changed. Some restaurants have left because of the exorbitant rents, even though they were fully booked for every meal...

This place could be nice, but it's lacking in shops, which is a shame.
