St Clement sur Saint-Clement-Des-Baleines

30/09/2023: We visited Restaurant à l 'Ouest twice during our stay on the Île de Ré and were thrilled each time. Excellent service, regional products imaginatively and deliciously prepared. We'd love to come back!

27/09/2023: Local restaurant and bar with cosy interior and large terrace. Friendly and efficient service and patient with our attempts to speak French throughout! There are a handful of sharing dishes including home smoked duck and salmon. I chose a tasty pot of lentil and chickpea daal with rice, Mark had duck parmentier with white bean mash. I'd say the food is simple but perfectly put together. At the time of our visit in late September, only open Wednesday and Sunday so do check in advance.
