Streaters sur Paris

31/07/2026: The context: my partner is hospitalised and I am very stressed and sad. I must find things to fill my time when I cannot be in hospital with them. Also, I look like an evil gay wizard at all times. The day: I had just a moment for dinner before speeding across town to see my partner as they came out of surgery. The sun was radiant and hot. I was incredibly anxious and thus wasn't very hungry. The place: Les Fontaines was near where I was staying and partner and I had eaten there before and were impressed by their food and manner. This time was no different. I was in no mood to be charming enough to offset my appearance, but Les Fontaines staff were exceedingly sweet and accommodating: vigilant but not too close or crowding. I had: soupe a l'oignon and some frites. Soup was warm, round, salty, rich but not too much for the weather, cheese and bread perfectly chewy. Chips were incredible: potatoey and crunchy, but with a beautiful mashed potato fluffiness. Very reasonably priced and served fast enough that I made it in time to the hospital. Thank you for having me and for being so kind and friendly when I was having such a trying day.

28/07/2026: We had a wonderful evening at Les Fontaines. The €49 menu was very generous and delicious, and above all, the service was superb thanks to Nicolas, who made our evening truly enjoyable.
