This is a wonderful oasis for Indian and Pakistani cuisine tucked away in a lane close to the Piazza with the beautiful fountain in the old town, which makes it a very nice setting particularly during dinner.
We were greeted by ustaad ji playing on his tabla practising for his next concert outside the restaurant door. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining. The food options include both Indian and Pakistani with cooks from both countries in the kitchen. You can request your own level of spice, how tender you like the meat or vegetables, and ask them to prepare the dish based on specific dietary requirements.
We really enjoyed the lamb/mutton Tikka masala cooked in a simmering pakistani style spicy gravy with butter nans. It was a delectable feast to say the least! They also have excellent biryani options.
Pro tip - For the best preparations, call ahead and ask them to prepare it the way they eat it with the meat well done and in the style of your choice.
Very nice home. We came to get take-out meals. We were able to choose those from the menu. We didn't have long to wait. We were served a non-alcoholic aperitif, which was very appreciated. In 10 minutes we had our 4 hot meals, well packaged, in two large paper bags. With the added bonus of a free dessert. The dishes were still hot when we sat down at the table. That was delicious. The flavor of Indian spices was there. I appreciated the meat cooked through and the fragrant sauces. A delight. It was very filling. There's enough left for tonight. Frankly, it is a restaurant to recommend, which honors Indian cuisine. If you like it, you won't be disappointed. We will be happy to come back, this time to stay at the table.
