Un italien sans prétentions dans le centre de Douai. Cuisine bien faite, service adorable. C'est familial et généreux. De l'italien comme on l'attend qui ne tombe ni dans la facilité ni dans la bouffe vite faite. Le Chef se permet même de servir les calamars à la sicilienne dans une coque en pâte filo à déguster avec le plat. La preuve qu'on peut tenir une affaire familiale depuis probablement fort longtemps et garder l'esprit ouvert et curieux. On n'en demande pas plus et on y retournera de bon coeur.
We had an excellent evening at the Taormina restaurant in Douai. The dishes were very good and plentiful. As a bonus, the boss even offered us digestives, which has become rare these days. We will return without hesitation!

The pasta is excellent, as is the meat.

I came with my family to have a pizza as well as a dessert, good value for money, small place good to have, simplistic but traditional cuisine! I recommend for a small, friendly meal!
