Tartapain sur Lamballe

I was very disappointed with the quality of the traditional baguette from the bread dispenser; it came out lukewarm and became stiff after a few minutes. Another time, I received day-old bread. I went to see the staff, who exchanged it without any problem.

I'm new to Côtes-d'Armor and I was looking for a bakery when I found Tartapain in Lamballe. The welcome, the staff, and of course the bread are all top-notch, which is why I go back every day 😁. I ordered a strawberry cake for my son's birthday and frankly, once again, I wasn't disappointed; it was delicious and beautiful ☺️.

A pleasant surprise this morning. The place is great and the service was excellent, provided by the lovely young woman, Samia. Keep up the good work!

A really nice place, original decor, the sandwiches, paninis and desserts are delicious. A great stop on the way to your holiday destination. I recommend it.

After several visits, I can give a more complete review. The atmosphere and decor are truly unique and beautiful. The traditional bread is very good, as are the wholemeal loaves; I highly recommend this establishment for buying bread. However, the pastries are a complete disaster; they are simply the worst croissants I've ever eaten. They're probably made with margarine. The price is attractive: buy three, get the fourth free. I fell for that offer. The coffee éclairs are bad; the icing is tasteless. As for the sandwiches and other dishes, the quality and quantity are there, despite the somewhat high prices. For example, the wraps and the tortilla salad are around €7 for four bites. They recently added vending machines, which seem very convenient. I don't know how they'll be in practice yet. In short, the bread is very good, but the rest is just so-so—either expensive or not good.

The welcome and service are always very pleasant, and the food is excellent. However, be sure to check your takeaway orders carefully during the lunchtime rush; my red berry crumble was missing when I unpacked it once I got home. It's a shame to pay for a forgotten item. A little extra attention to checking the bags and it will be perfect! I'll gladly come back nonetheless.
