I ordered a seafood platter, delicious and beautifully presented, excellent service, well done to the tavern!

For two years in a row we've stopped at the tavern on our way to our holidays. It's an essential hotel and we really have nothing to complain about. The food is excellent and the welcome is perfect; they always have a big smile.

A fantastic find! From appetizer to dessert, everything was absolutely delicious. The portions were generous, beautifully presented, and prepared with high-quality ingredients. A special mention goes to the desserts, which were as beautiful as they were indulgent! The service was impeccable: a welcoming, smiling, and attentive team throughout the meal. The setting is pleasant, the dining room is spacious, and the location, right across from the Châteaucreux train station, is very convenient. A truly wonderful restaurant in Saint-Étienne that I wholeheartedly recommend, whether for lunch or dinner. I will gladly return!

The brasserie is always excellent, managing to reinvent itself over the years while consistently offering good food and service.

Varied selection, very good, very pleasant staff.

The air-conditioned dining room was a plus, the dishes were very simple, except for the seafood sauerkraut which was excellent. My hamburger could be better; it lacked flavor and the bun wasn't crispy. The local dish was hearty and tasty. For the children, we ordered two sausages and mashed potatoes, but they didn't like the chunks of potato in the mashed potatoes and didn't eat anything. The four sausages were expensive. On the other hand, the two scoops of ice cream from the children's menu were very well presented and delicious. Unfortunately, we couldn't get the mint flavor due to the heat. My chocolate mousse wasn't great; for Weiss chocolate, you couldn't taste the chocolate pieces. In conclusion, the decor is beautiful, and the back terrace is superb, but the hamburgers need improvement: the meat was tasteless and the seasoning needs to be revised. I don't think I'll be going back.

Good value for money, generous portions, fast service

I was truly impressed by the warm welcome and attentive service from the waiters. The atmosphere was also very pleasant; I even appreciated the restaurant's inviting decor. The value for money was also very good; I really felt I was getting excellent value for what I paid.
