Terres De Café sur Paris

I come to this café regularly, and generally, everything is fine. However, the service varies considerably depending on the server. The server who works the morning shift is usually quite cold and unfriendly. I know this and I put up with it. For my part, I always remain polite and courteous with him, and I even sometimes leave a tip. But today, I was really surprised by his attitude. I had simply placed a container of mozzarella that I had just bought elsewhere on the table. It was sealed, not opened: I wasn't eating it and I had absolutely no intention of consuming it in my coffee. He told me he couldn't serve me my coffee as long as the container remained on the table. I can perfectly understand an establishment prohibiting the consumption of outside products. But in this case, it wasn't about consumption: the container was simply sitting on the table. He could have simply asked me politely to put it away. As a regular customer and always courteous to the staff, I found this way of doing things particularly unpleasant and, above all, very surprising.

Very likely the last "bistrot " in this neighborhood where you can have a coffee standing at the counter, reading a newspaper and talking with the barman. Not "fancy" plain good, friendly, and at a decent place. Sorry that I can't give you a 6th star for just being still there. Keep on attending normal people in a normal, decent way.

Nice cafe in the heart of a very lively neighborhood

Since discovering Madame Colette's croque monsieur, croque madame, croque monsieur, I haven't eaten them anywhere else for 25 years.

A peaceful oasis for a beer and a sandwich

I love this café right on Rue des Archives; it's very friendly, whether you want to have a drink, eat alone or with friends, that's what I go for. The staff are fantastic, I have nothing to say except bravo!

Great place in the centre of Marais. Not expensive. It’s great to sit outside and watch the people - better than cinema! The food is great and a nice variety of wine. I love this place!
