The Architect sur Le Havre

Limited menu, but generous portions and very good food. Reasonable prices. Simple, friendly restaurant in a great location facing the port and near the seafront.

The best burgers in Le Havre! I have about 5 restaurants on rotation in this town when I come for business. I found this place last year. I have been here 3 times in the past 15 months, every time is better than the previous. Damian the owner is a great guy, high energy always smiling! Oh yeah, the chicken wings and mozzarella sticks are damn good too!

Last night, Fête de la Musique, 11:30 PM... A band was playing on the terrace, but there weren't many people at the tables. I asked the waiter if we could have a drink. He said yes, go to the bar, okay... At the bar, there was only one person in front of us. The man (short, rather stocky, maybe the owner?) didn't even look at us, he was snobbish... he went off on his phone and didn't pay any attention to us at all. The waitress (who was Black) was the same... were we invisible? We left without anything to listen to the music, so without drinks and without a seat. The waiter outside was very friendly... in short, completely clueless. We won't be going back.

A quick cocktail on the terrace – no complaints about the taste, but serving it in a Duralex-style glass seems a bit much considering the €10 price tag. I'd expect something a bit nicer. Disappointed with the glass; I don't know if I'll be back.

After our performance at Le Havre beach, our Gospel Together choir headed to THE ARCHITECT, and what a wonderful discovery it was! The food was as beautiful as it was generous, the staff was fantastic, smiling and attentive—yes, there were 47 of us arriving!—in short, a warm and welcoming atmosphere! And of course, Gospel Together couldn't possibly finish the meal without singing; the restaurant was treated to a mini-concert in a joyful atmosphere. Thank you to the entire team at THE ARCHITECT, and see you very soon!

We had a lovely, convivial time. The dishes were beautifully presented and as delicious as they were well-prepared. We'll definitely be back!
