Anyone who thinks you can't get great fish and chips in France has clearly never been to The Fiddler's Rest, their Fish and Chips is superb but all their meals are excellent. Well made food, generous portions and reasonably priced. The staff are extremely friendly and just a pleasure to deal with. An absolute gem of a place.

What a great find on a lazy Sunday when many places are closed. It looked like a family run operation. Tasted like home cooking. Pints of Guinness on tap among other tasty beverages. Super cozy atmosphere and a large sheltered terrace in the back.

Bientôt 8 ans que nous y allons en famille et c'est un réel plaisir à chaque fois. Le pub est vraiment charmant, l'accueil est vraiment sympa et les plats sont justes délicieux. Une référence où il faut absolument aller. Je vous recommande le fish n chips, avec un verre de killkenny.

28/09/2023: It was probably not the peak season when I was at the hotel. The restaurant was closed, and I wanted it because of its good reviews. The owner, who was very friendly on site, helped us book a table at a friendly restaurant in a neighboring town. The grounds of the estate are beautiful, the hotel is in quite good condition, but it is clear that these are not chain store standards.
