The wine bar sur Bordeaux

Well, we were the only two guests that night, which was really weird. All attention is on you, there were 4 people tending to the two of us. We had reservations at 7:30pm which is the first time slot you can book and they put the closed sign on the door after we entered. Ok, it was Bastille Day AND semi final football with France against Spain, but in that case they'd better closed that night instead of delivering this experience to us. The food was absolutely great. It's an interesting formula where you have to guess what you eat and then the waiter reveals what it was. Well for some it's interesting. I personally really hesitated to eat one course which I feared was sea urchin and I almost didn't finish it but it turned out to be just mushroom... So it's not for everyone, this restaurant. I choose the sake pairing, for 32 euro (4 courses). I love sake, it's typical Japanese, right? But two of the four sakes were French, from Burgundy - nothing like Japanese sake at all. It's different and interesting, but I wasn't expecting French sake. Didn't even know it was a thing. It's fusion kitchen, I get it but I didn't care for it really, I was also disappointed in the taste and quality of the French 'sake'. And yes, I know something about sake. My husband had the wine pairing, just two glasses. But his glasses were twice as full as mine, for half the price, and of much better quality too. Strange. I think it was unfortunate that we were the only guests that night. Everything came very fast after another, we were done in one hour - appetizers, four courses and coffee included. For 178 euro for two, I liked the food very much, but the experience and atmosphere lacked and that was a shame. They had better canceled our reservation. Would have gotten them a night off to watch the match (and a better review because they deserve it) and us a much nicer dinner night.

Loved it - a very different way to serve high quality food. I loved the concept and the game of guessing the ingredients - few I had not heard of. Service was impeccable - wine and sake pairings spot on and delicious. Highly recommend

What an incredible discovery in the heart of Bordeaux! Everything was absolutely perfect, from the service to the exquisitely presented dishes. I was particularly impressed by the attention to detail in the presentation, especially the small rectangular piece on its black plate, enhanced by a fresh leaf. It's the kind of place where you can feel the passion in every detail. A must-visit for food lovers.

Attention all foodies and curious palates! Here's an excellent restaurant to try. The cuisine is delicious, sophisticated, and original. Moreover, not knowing exactly what you're eating adds an extra layer of excitement to the meal. You become a culinary explorer: identifying the ingredients becomes a quest in itself and enhances the pleasure of the experience. And to top it all off, the service is impeccable: very friendly, attentive, and providing detailed explanations of the dishes after you've finished eating, of course.

A wonderful discovery. A blind tasting menu where traditional dishes are blended with a Japanese touch, each dish finished beautifully thanks to the chef's expertise. Top-notch service, pleasant and a bit like being at home. Thank you for this experience... we will be back! P.S... your mushroom dish certainly rivals the specialties of some Michelin-starred chefs... a delight!
