The cuisine is delicious, sophisticated, and original. Moreover, not knowing exactly what you're eating adds an extra layer of excitement to the meal. You become a culinary explorer: identifying the ingredients becomes a quest in itself and enhances the pleasure of the experience.
And to top it all off, the service is impeccable: very friendly, attentive, and providing detailed explanations of the dishes after you've finished eating, of course.

A wonderful discovery.
A blind tasting menu where traditional dishes are blended with a Japanese touch, each dish finished beautifully thanks to the chef's expertise.
Top-notch service, pleasant and a bit like being at home.

Last night, I had the pleasure of dining with friends at Nama restaurant in Bordeaux, and it was a truly gastronomic experience—much more than just a meal.
The concept of the mystery menu (inspired by Japanese omakase) is particularly appealing: here, you agree to be guided by the chef's inspiration and the seasonality of the ingredients. Each dish arrives as a surprise, conceived around fresh produce and enhanced by a subtle Japanese influence within contemporary French cuisine. We chose the six-course tasting menu, a complete immersion in the restaurant's world. The pacing is perfectly controlled, the flavor combinations are refined, creative, and balanced, and you feel a real coherence in the progression of the meal.
But beyond the cuisine, what makes the experience truly exceptional is the warm welcome and the presence of Patrick, the owner. A true enthusiast, he accompanies the meal with generosity and enthusiasm, introducing us to remarkable food and sake pairings. A truly wonderful culinary experience. My son and I opted for the six-course tasting menu, and it was a real discovery—a delight for both the palate and the eyes. The only downside was the extremely long wait: two and a half hours for dinner, with over 20 minutes between each course... it was simply too much. It's an experience worth having, but be aware that you will have to wait quite a while between courses. Enjoy your meal!

A delightful surprise menu where you get to "guess" the ingredients in each dish. Modern French cuisine with a twist and a (light) hint of Japanese flavors. Excellent service, which on our Tuesday evening visit consisted of just one (!) young man who did a fantastic job. There was also only one chef working in the kitchen that evening (because, we were told, his two colleagues had taken the day off). It was incredible how he managed it. The chef has a penchant for subtle garlic flavors, which he incorporates into several dishes. A nice wine selection. However, the music was consistently too loud for our liking. We will definitely be back.

I highly recommend this restaurant. A truly wonderful discovery with the six-course blind tasting menu. Each dish was a veritable explosion of flavors, difficult to describe given the masterful execution.
We paired our meal with three glasses of sake, each different and perfectly matched to each course.
A big thank you to the waiter and the owner for their warm welcome and passionate explanations of each dish and each sake. The dishes kept arriving, surprising us with each one—a true awakening of the senses from beginning to end.
