For almost 20 years, I've been a regular in the neighborhood just to eat a sandwich at Thieng Heng, often with one or more buns. Don't be put off by the queue when there is one; the service is quick and efficient, and the wait is never long! A must-try!

The sandwiches have been great for years, always top-notch. However, last time I went to get some banana sticky rice cakes and they were just undercooked white rice. Tasteless, disgusting. They need to be remade.

The cheapest bahn mi I have come across, some sandwiches are under 4 euros. The disadvantage is that it’s cash only and they don’t take tickets restaurant. I also tried the pandan drink which I have never seen which was okay.

I'd love to know their carrot pickle recipe! I've had banh mi and I think their pickles are so good! More flavorful, just the right amount to complement the different types of meat! I'm glad they've changed their bread too.
