Why doesn't a certain Michelin Guide mention this restaurant?! Service with humor and a wink. Delicious, excellent cuisine. Sublime foie gras, perfect scallops. Desserts in the same vein. And very reasonable prices. Truly one of the best value-for-money restaurants in the entire region. And for months! We LOVE IT.

A true gem on the outskirts of Chalon-sur-Saône. The service was impeccable. Great atmosphere. The waiter takes excellent care of all his customers! Thank you! The meal was absolutely delicious. The foie gras pâté en croûte was divine! 🥰🥰 An address to bookmark! A wonderful discovery!

A fantastic discovery! The atmosphere was great and we had a wonderful time. Special mention for the presentation of the dishes, which was magnificent; it was as beautiful as it was delicious. I highly recommend it, go without hesitation!

Dinner on December 27th, 2025, was very pleasant at Les Fables. The waiter was very friendly, attentive, and professional. The dishes were very good, well-composed, aesthetically pleasing, and well-balanced in flavor. Just one minor point: the scallops were served with Jerusalem artichoke purée instead of risotto, without prior notice. It was very tasty, but a slight disappointment upon receiving the dish.

How could anyone imagine such a gem being tucked away here, between a lock and the road? And yet… Les Fables is a truly delightful place to eat. It had been years since I'd enjoyed such delicious, balanced, and expertly prepared cuisine in a non-Michelin-starred restaurant. The lobster was simply exceptional, enhanced by an extraordinary bisque sauce. The all-chocolate dessert was the perfect ending to the meal, both refined and indulgent. You can clearly sense that there's a true chef in the kitchen and that the entire dining room revolves around their work. The service is impeccable, with smiling, attentive, and caring staff. We stopped at Les Fables quite by chance, simply because we had an appointment nearby, and what a pleasant surprise it was! I highly recommend stopping by and, above all, taking the time to savor the experience. Some of the dishes truly deserve recognition.

The starter and main course were excellent. We were disappointed by the vanilla mille-feuille dessert, which lacked flavor. The cream was cloying. Furthermore, the dining room was cold, which made eating unpleasant. The service was far too slow—three hours at the table, even though there were two of us and we were the first to arrive. There was only one server for two dining rooms. It's a shame.
