24/06/2025: The best kebab in all of Angers, without a doubt.
I tasted through more than twenty kebab shops in the city, and this one is, without a doubt, the clear winner. Not only for the quality of the flavors, but also for the kindness of the staff, the unforgettable fries, and that wonderful Algerian sauce—a burning caress for those who love spicy food.
The fries… ah, the fries!
They are a poem in themselves: golden like a sunset over the Loire, crispy on the outside like autumn leaves, and tender on the inside, almost chewy, like a childhood memory. They carry the perfect salt, the perfect heat, and that little taste that calls for a return visit, again and again.
And the kebab...
Served in a warm bun with a light and crispy crust, the inside remains soft, almost cloudy. The meat, in generous chunks, melts under the bite. Sometimes you don't know exactly what meat you're tasting—but it doesn't matter, because it's tender, flavorful, and fragrant like a story from elsewhere. Each bite is a journey.
And that Algerian sauce…
Red-orange, creamy, it dances on the tongue like a tamed flame. Spicy without being overpowering, it elegantly awakens the taste buds, enveloping everything in a vibrant, captivating warmth.
The only downside: the first time, I had a slight stomach ache. But never again. And what a shame they close in the summer! Otherwise, I'd gladly eat my three meals a day there.
It's more than a kebab, it's a culinary poem. The best in Angers—and I dare say, in all of Anjou.
