Tonnerre de Brest Picot et Compagnie sur Villeurbanne

I introduced this place to a friend at lunchtime today; I've been coming here regularly for 10 years, and it's always just as good despite the change of ownership. I highly recommend it.

A pleasant little crêperie, both modern and traditional, with an intimate and quaint atmosphere. Both the crêpes and galettes are good. However, I was disappointed by the lack of filling in my galette (the one with mushrooms) and the absence of a small green salad, which would have added some substance to this rather bland dish. Taste-wise, it was rather bland, even though the galette itself was good. As for the sweet crêpe, the one with chestnut cream was more generous. However, I would have preferred more cream and less whipped cream. Three dollops of whipped cream on one crêpe are too much; the chestnut cream is overpowering. A shame. In conclusion, good overall, but the portions are too small, and therefore a bit pricey for crêpes.

Glad to see you again in the same setting and the galettes/crepes are still as good as ever.

It's nice to find a Breton place in the middle of Villeurbanne like this, especially when you love Brittany and its specialties. However, the prices are a bit high for the portion size... I had a crêpe as a main course and a crêpe for dessert, but I was still hungry afterward! And €3 for a small bowl of lamb's lettuce was definitely outrageous! Especially since there were literally four leaves of lamb's lettuce in the bowl. Why not just put a few salad leaves directly on the plate with the crêpe? 🤔 On the other hand, the taste was excellent. Both the savory and sweet crêpes were delicious. Not sure if I'll go back, but I had to go anyway! Goodbye
