The service has improved significantly (I must have had a really bad experience last time), and the food quality remains very good, so I'm revising my previous review.
We ate as a family, ordering three set menus: skewers, skewers and sashimi, and skewers, sushi, and tempura. Each meal, including an appetizer, main course, and dessert, was generous and good value. The skewers are among the best in Paris in my opinion (along with Yasube on Rue Sainte-Anne), and the desserts were surprisingly good for a Japanese restaurant—no offense intended! :) I recommend this place, which I've known for twenty years.

I discovered Toritcho restaurant in Montparnasse on the recommendation of my uncle, and I was not disappointed. It's a true traditional Japanese restaurant, far from the overly touristy places. The flavors are authentic and sometimes surprising for Western palates like ours, which makes the culinary experience unique and memorable. A place that I highly recommend to those who want to discover authentic Japanese cuisine in Paris.

A great find right in the heart of Montparnasse!! This is a REAL Japanese restaurant serving authentic cuisine, not the industrial sushi we're used to seeing. You pay more to eat here than in a sushi shop, but two sushi masters ensure incomparable quality.
Understated but elegant decor, impeccable service, I'll definitely be back!!
