We chose this hotel at random during our motorbike trip in Soule. Warm welcome. Spontaneous offer to allow us to park the motorcycle in the enclosed courtyard if necessary. The parking lot in front of the hotel was perfect. Half board: evening meal (starter/main course/dessert) + breakfast for €26. Who says better? Excellent evening meal with fresh produce and prepared with taste and delicacy. Generous breakfast with morning pastries, fresh bread and homemade jam (the rhubarb was extraordinary!). To summarize, a family pension like we don't have anymore and which made me think a lot of the pensions of the time when we went on vacation with our parents.... Everything is there to make you feel at home straight away . I highly recommend.
This review is ONLY about the restaurant, where we had a lovely lunch in the garden. We tried one set menu and a la carte each, plus a bottle of local white wine. The food (French) and wine (Basque) were both quite nice. The garden setting is lovely; the service is quite slow, but this is because there are only two waiters to cover all the tables inside and outside, so best to set expectations. (Just one thing: a group of 3 came about 15min after us and sat down. There were two tables (ours was one) that hadn't been served at all yet, and the matron knew this group and so asked the waitress to skip us and serve them first. Not very professional, I think.)
Very good family address, excellent restaurant with fresh, quality products. We loved this place, the welcome was warm and the hotel manager was absolutely adorable and helpful. The village and the environment are really very charming, a beautiful address to discover in Soule.
Super restaurant avec un accueil chaleureux, un personnel très sympathique et des plats délicieux! Un très bon établissement pour un bon moment en famille ou entre amis!
