Urfa Dürüm sur Paris

As someone who lives in Madrid, I do not have any access to Kurdish food so coming to Paris has been quite amazing. I’ve heard about Urfa Durum through family, friends, and also the restaurant was featured in Anthony Bourdaine’s “Places to Eat in Paris.” I ordered the chicken wrap and ayran which were both so delicious. There are a few seats inside and a few outside but either be prepared to wait for a seat or take the food to go.

I recently visited Urfa Durum in Paris and had a really great four-star experience overall. One of the best things about this place is how fresh everything feels from the moment you walk in. The bread is made right in front of you, which adds a nice touch and makes the whole experience feel more authentic and homemade. It comes out warm, soft, and slightly crispy on the edges, perfect for wrapping the fillings. I ordered a beef dürüm and the meat was grilled over real charcoal, which gave it a smoky, barbecue-style flavor that really stands out. You can taste that it’s freshly cooked and not just reheated. The seasoning was well balanced—savory, slightly spiced, and very satisfying without being too heavy. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy, adding a good contrast to the warm meat and bread. The sauces were simple but effective, tying everything together without overpowering the natural flavors. The portion size was generous and filling, making it a good value for a quick meal in Paris. Service was fast even when the shop was busy, and the staff worked efficiently while staying polite. The atmosphere is casual and focused on food preparation, especially the open-style cooking where you can see the grilling and bread-making happening. Overall, Urfa Durum is a solid spot for fresh, flavorful Turkish-style wraps. The combination of freshly made bread, charcoal-grilled meat, and quick service makes it stand out from many other quick-serve places. I would definitely come back again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The best of the best. The char of the grill flavours the meat beautifully, and it’s dressed with just salt, pepper, light olive oil and fresh veggies. I recommend the lamb one if you’re a fan of lamb - some of thr best I’ve had and often people I bring agree!

Exceptional cuisine, simple and effective, a good address for aficionados, my favorite is the one with minced meat!

Very good liver (liver was a little too cooked and dry) and lamb (fantastic) kebabs in a special little hole in the wall in one of the coolest quarters in Paris. And so cheap.
