This is the 2nd time that we have stopped at Ustaria a di in Rota on the Mare a Mare Nord. Very warm welcome, there is everything you need to accommodate hikers. The place is friendly, the inhabitants of the village meet there in the evening, and in particular on Friday evening when the pizza chef comes on stage and starts the pizza evening!!! It is unique and the pizzas delicious!!! Well done to Paul Ceccaldi and his entire team. We recommend this friendly place to everyone. François and Chantal

Le restaurant s en sort à peu près au vu de notre accueil au gite attenant qui lui est juste horrible !!! Repas à peu près correct , petit déjeuner au gîte juste inacceptable , pain rassis , 1 couteaux pr tt le gîte vaisselle sale … bref vaut mieux pas petit déjeuner et surtout pas dormir ds cet endroit ! Malgré tout un gentil serveur et un cuisinier qui fait ce qu il peut avec le peu à sa disposition …

So yes it’s very rustic! But the beds are clean, the shower is hot and everything is functional! The food we had was good and above all the welcome was wonderful! This is the Mare Monti stage where we felt most at home! They welcomed us with open arms! If you want to do a 10-day hike in Parisian bohemian style, go ahead, that is if you have the legs to double the stage ;) If you are human, it should go well :)

I hiked the Mare a Mare nord hiking trail, outside the hiking season. On the way I was caught by heavy rain, which according to the forecast was supposed to rain for several more days. This is the only place, where I found accommodation in the off-season. The hospitality of the owners is commendable. The mood and atmosphere are more than pleasant, and the owners are more than honest. In the evening, when the locals gather, you can experience their way of life. If you want to experience the atmosphere of the mountain-rural part of Corsica, Marignana is a picturesque village that you should definitely visit, and I give this lodging/restaurant every praise. If you are from Paris or a big city and are not used to the country atmosphere, you might not understand. The ambience is full of antiques and that gives it a special atmosphere. I will definitely come back to this place. Thanks boss!
