Vallon de Gayet sur Mouries

We haven't had the chance to try the hotel yet, but we've already been to the restaurant at Vallon de Gayet several times as a family and with my brothers. The restaurant is excellent! The quality of the meat is truly outstanding, especially the ribeye steak, which is exceptional. The only slight downside—and perhaps I'm being a bit picky 😅—is that once, I was served the ribeye steak without the marrow bone, whereas on my previous visits it was automatically included. Apparently, you had to ask for it. That said, it was surely just an oversight, because as soon as I mentioned it, it was brought to me immediately. In short: excellent restaurant, very pleasant setting, I highly recommend it!

As occasional guests of Vallon de Gayet for over thirty years, I unfortunately hadn't been back for far too long due to lack of time. This oversight was rectified last weekend, and what a joy it was to rediscover this fantastic place, where a flood of memories came rushing back. Delphine and William run it masterfully, having expanded and modernized this wonderful establishment while miraculously preserving its essence and spirit. The cuisine is always delicious and wonderfully authentic, the breakfasts are of unparalleled simplicity and quality, and what can I say about the welcome and service, except that you feel like you're visiting dear family members. A huge thank you to this entire caring team, and especially to Delphine and William, for allowing me to experience a truly wonderful birthday, filled with memories of all our beloved departed. See you very soon!

Excellent food, superb salt-cured ribeye steak, top-notch service, I highly recommend it.
