Vercingetorix sur Vouille

The welcome was very friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The food was simple and unpretentious. The only downside for us was the lengthy service. It took over an hour for one course, and we had to skip dessert as we still had a long drive ahead of us. We had ordered main courses without starters, hoping to have dessert. So we left still hungry. It's a real shame. Also, be aware of the drink prices; we didn't ask about them (that was entirely our fault) and ended up paying €62 for two salads, a pork spider steak, a 75cl bottle of Abatille, and half a peach. The prices for the main courses were reasonable considering the generous portions, but the drinks really inflated the bill.

We had lunch without a reservation, everything went well, the place is quite nice and well decorated, and the temperature was pleasant (it was sweltering outside). The dishes served were simple but well prepared. I recommend it.

What can I say about this restaurant?! Wow! What a warm welcome! From the moment they took the reservation over the phone, I knew we were in for a treat. The owner was incredibly kind, patient, and funny. We had a last-minute reservation for a large group. The owners took excellent care of us; the service was relaxed, smooth, and incredibly warm! The food, made with fresh ingredients, homemade fries, foie gras burgers, and a platter of various grilled meats... was delicious and fresh. A very warm welcome. Generous portions and delicious food! Excellent value for money. Killian's strawberry tart with speculoos crust was superb. Great place, we highly recommend it.
