Wow! What an unexpected surprise! I was staying at a hotel right next to this restaurant. It was pouring rain, I was hungry and I didn't want to walk far given the weather. I love Italian food and decided to give it a try. I couldn't have been more impressed! My server who was probably the owner was SO kind, friendly, helpful, and genuine. He had a wonderful energy about him. I was dining alone and ordered an arancello spritz and one of the specials of the day, tagliatelle with chantarelles. Holy moly, I could have closed my eyes and been transported to Italy. This is the real deal. If you want incredible Italian food at a charming and small, off the beaten path (aka not touristy) restaurant in Paris, then come to Via Mela!
